Abstract:

The introduction of Uber into Qatar's transportation scene during the FIFA World Cup represented a significant shift in mobility options, altering the traditional landscape dominated by buses, taxis, and trains. As anticipation for the World Cup intensified. This study is qualitative delving into the personal experiences of 10 Uber drivers during the World Cup. A phenomenological research approach was applied in this study as it is designed to understand the participants' experiences and perceptions regarding The Lived Experience of Uber Drivers in Qatar During the Federation Internationale de Football Association World Cup. As for the results, the three key factors – safety action, transition, and complication – that significantly influenced their daily routines.
